Therapist for anxiety in Singapore
Licensed Rapid Transformational Therapy (RTT®) practitioner — Geraldine Nathan, Singapore
Anxiety therapy in Singapore
If anxiety is no longer a passing phase – thoughts racing at 2am, a knot in the chest before a meeting, feeling always on – then you’re looking for something quicker than another six months of weekly counselling, a therapist for anxiety can help you.
My name is Geraldine Nathan and I am a licensed Rapid Transformational Therapy (RTT®) practitioner in the CBD of Singapore. The majority of my clients who seek anxiety therapy in Singapore experience positive results within 1–3 sessions. Sessions are held in person at 68 Circular Road or online.
When anxiety becomes chronic
Anxiety is a problem when it is no longer a helpful signal and is instead the background noise of your life. The most common patterns I see with Singapore-based clients are:
- Sleep disruption: you can sleep, but at 3am your mind begins to run.
- Physical symptoms: chest tightness, shallow breathing, jaw tension, gut problems that no doctor can explain.
- Performance anxiety: over-preparing, second-guessing decisions, mentally replaying conversations that may never occur.
- Decision paralysis: on small things and high competence at work.
- A feeling of being on all the time, even when there is no activity.
Singapore’s environment compounds this. The pace of work in finance, law, tech and consulting is high. Expats often arrive without the family or social structure that buffers stress at home. There is real pressure to present as “fine” even when you are not.
The National Youth Mental Health Study (2022–2023), run by the Institute of Mental Health, found that around one in four Singaporeans aged 15 to 35 reported severe or very severe symptoms of anxiety — making it the most prevalent mental health concern in that age group. Anxiety in older Singaporean adults is harder to pin to a single recent figure, but practitioners across the city see the same patterns turning up across all age brackets.
If two or more of the patterns above sound familiar and have been with you for more than a few weeks, it is worth doing something about. Anxiety does not resolve on its own.
RTT is a therapy for anxiety
Rapid Transformational Therapy (RTT®) is a technique created by Marisa Peer which integrates hypnotherapy, psychotherapy, cognitive behavioural therapy and neuro-linguistic programming.
The difference between traditional counselling or CBT is that RTT operates at the subconscious level. RTT is not just about symptom management — it is about finding and changing the belief or experience that is causing the anxiety response.
That’s why meaningful change can occur in one to three sessions, rather than several months of weekly therapy, for many clients.
RTT is particularly helpful for:
- High-functioning anxiety
- Performance anxiety
- Overthinking
- Sleep anxiety
- Work stress and burnout
- Panic responses
- Fear of failure or rejection
- Imposter syndrome
What an RTT session looks like
Each RTT session runs for approximately 70–90 minutes and can be done in person at the Singapore clinic or online via Zoom.
The process includes:
- A first discussion on what you want to change and what you have already tried
- A guided hypnosis section in which you are conscious and in control throughout
- A personalised transformation recording created just for you
- Listening to the recording every day for 21 days
- A check-in conversation 10–14 days later
- A progress review after 21 days
- Inter-session WhatsApp support
For many clients, online anxiety therapy sessions are as effective as face-to-face. The recording and follow-up process are often the most important part of reinforcing change between sessions.
The clinic is located at 68 Circular Road, 02-01, Singapore CBD — approximately 5 minutes’ walk from Raffles Place or Clarke Quay MRT.

Pricing and what to expect
In Singapore, weekly CBT or anxiety counselling typically costs between SGD 150 and 260 per session. Over a 12–20 session course, this can total SGD 1,800 to 5,200 with no defined end point.
Most clients complete their work in one to three sessions. RTT packages are frequently similar in total cost — or less.
If you’re not sure which option is right for you, the free 20-minute discovery call is the place to start. We discuss what’s going on, whether RTT is a good fit, and which package suits you.

Frequently asked questions
How do I know if I need anxiety therapy, or if I'm just stressed?
Stress is typically linked to a particular circumstance – deadlines, conflict, work pressure. It tends to ease after the event.
Anxiety is different. It persists even when there is no apparent cause, or the response feels disproportionate to the situation. If you’re having trouble sleeping, experiencing physical symptoms, racing thoughts, or a persistent feeling of tension for more than a few weeks, it’s worth talking to an anxiety therapist.
What is the difference between RTT® and CBT or counselling?
CBT and most counselling techniques focus on conscious thought patterns. RTT works at the subconscious level.
Guided hypnosis is used to uncover the original belief, emotional pattern or experience that is driving the anxiety response – and then we work with that. RTT is not just about coping strategies; it’s about change at the root of the problem.
The majority of RTT clients experience significant changes in 1–3 sessions. RTT is not a substitute for psychiatric or medical treatment, but can be used alongside it if you are in crisis or currently receiving care.
How many sessions will I need?
Most clients see significant results in 1–3 RTT sessions.
Anxiety around a single issue — such as a presentation or interview — can often be resolved in one session. More complex anxiety related to burnout, self-worth, sleep, or perfectionism may benefit from additional support over several months.
The right approach becomes clearer after the first conversation.
Are you a Singapore online anxiety therapist?
Yes. Online RTT sessions are available throughout Singapore and internationally via Zoom.
Many clients prefer online sessions due to work schedules, travel, or convenience. The guided hypnosis process, personalised recording and follow-up support are delivered in exactly the same way as in person.
In-person sessions are also available at 68 Circular Road, Singapore CBD.
How much is anxiety therapy in Singapore?
RTT is offered as a package, not as weekly sessions. A standard package includes:
- The RTT session
- A personalised 21-day
- recording
- Follow-up support
- WhatsApp support between sessions
Weekly anxiety counselling or CBT in Singapore typically ranges from SGD 150 to 260 per session. Current package pricing is listed on the pricing page.
Is RTT® evidence-based and what are your qualifications?
RTT is a developing therapeutic approach. While there is less peer-reviewed clinical research on RTT than CBT, it draws on techniques from hypnotherapy, psychotherapy, CBT and NLP.
Geraldine is a licensed RTT practitioner trained at the RTT® School, founded by Marisa Peer, and is accredited and registered with the relevant professional bodies.
For more complex psychiatric conditions or active crisis situations, RTT is most effective when used alongside care from a psychiatrist or clinical psychologist.
